On the 25th of July 2007, Net Impact Bangkok Professional Chapter, in conjunction with AMCHAM CSR Committee, Caux Round Table (Thailand), and Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University invited Mr. Stephen B. Young, the Global Executive Director of Caux Round Table (CRT), to give a talk under the title "Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and Caux Round Table Principles: Soul Sisters". The event was recorded and podcasted by TRNLab.

 

This week was quite tiring. Basically TRN (through ICT plan of Thai Health Foundation) is acting as secretariat to form a new national committee on safe and creative media headed by deputy priminister Paiboon.

Monday:

OpenCARE meeting at iNet, open protocol for crisis / emergency information exchange. Trying to come up with strategy to bring OpenCARE to the higher level as government key tool in integrating crisis information system. The idea is to present to the taskforce on national agenda on philanthropy and volunteering then to the deputy prime ministry to formulate policy for cross-ministerial adoption.

OpenCARE preparation

Today we meet with Khun Phat, a consultant of INET and one of the OpenCARE team. OpenCARE is a framework, using IP-based communication to broadcast emergency message from one agency to others. They're trying to push this project, making it a top-down mandate that all concerned organizations dealing with crisis management would adopt the system.

New TRN's site is up and running
